A few years ago when I first found out about my food allergies, I had to take a good, hard look at all the things I was eating and make major adjustments (all for the better I might add). Gone were the days of buying overly processed junk and a new era of organic, all-natural foods began.
Throughout the years I have managed to find select brands that offer delicious snacks/cereals/breads/etc. that are made with natural ingredients and don’t have any artificial fillers (ie: high fructose corn syrup).
One of my favorite organic brands is Pamela’s Products. Pamela’s Products offers all-natural gluten-free snacks, baking mixes, cookies and other treats. While I do not personally have a gluten allergy, I’m a big fan of these products and almost always have their baking mix in my pantry, namely because they use natural ingredients such as brown rice flour, agave nectar and potato starch. Each bar is less than 200 calories, is made with all-natural ingredients including brown rice flour, agave nectar and potato starch, and taste great! These bars leave you feeling satisfied and are the perfect snack size. I generally eat them in the afternoon when I’m at work.
