It’s the day after Thanksgiving so it must be time to post a healthy green smoothie recipe right? I actually created this smoothie a while ago and just haven’t gotten around to blogging about it yet. So if you are feeling like you need some extra veggies in your life after your Thanksgiving feast, or just want something light so you can dig into leftovers (stuffing sandwiches are the best!), then you’ll definitely want to give this healthy green smoothie a whirl.
This smoothie is simple. Just four ingredients that create a light, citrus smoothie with the added benefit of extra vitamin A, C, and K from the kale. Plus, this smoothie has clementine oranges in it which are just so good this time of year. I often find myself going through 2-3 clementines a day.
An easy smoothie that’s a perfect way to get some extra fruit and veggies in during the day so you have room for those pumpkin pie leftovers.
Healthy Green Smoothie (makes 2, or 1 large smoothie)
Ingredients:
8 oz coconut water (I used Zico brand)
2 clementine oranges
2 cups diced pineapple
1- 1/2 cups chopped kale
Handful of ice
Directions:
Place all ingredients in the blender. Blend until kale pieces are nice and smooth. Pour smoothie into a glass. Enjoy. Repeat.
