And just like that another year has gone by. I feel like I was just writing my 2012 recap post and here I am again ready to write about 2013. Overall 2013 was a good year with new friends, lots of delicious food and some new goals achieved. So here are my favorite 2013 highlights.
I made some awesome blogger friends that have turned into real life friends like these two lovely ladies.
I attended the National Products Expo West and can’t wait to go in 2014! Who’s with me?
Sidecar Doughnuts officially opened in Costa Mesa. And my love affair with them began.
The Englishman and I ran our first half marathon together!
I discovered the black book menu at Mesa along with their delicious food and cocktails.
Foodologie and I hosted an amazing Peanut Butter Sandwich Throwdown thanks to the wonderful team at Peanut Butter and Co.
I finally had the full dining experience at Five Crowns in Corona del Mar.
We went to Portland and I had the best ice cream of my life at Salt and Straw.
Oh and this roast chicken from Mother’s Bistro and Bar was pretty amazing too.
I started experimenting with paleo recipes like this pumpkin spice cereal.
And these paleo pumpkin date muffins.
I rekindled my love for True Food Kitchen through their new fall menu.
I partnered with Veev to create a holiday cocktail pairing.
The Englishman and I set a 10k PR!
The beer advent calendar tradition began. And Pip approved.
I made salted coconut almond chocolate bark which might possibly be my favorite recipe of 2013.
When I look back at my 2013 highlights, I have to say 2013 was a pretty good year. But I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty stoked for 2014 as it includes our wedding, multiple friends’ weddings, Hawaii and hopefully more on the horizon. Bring it on!
What was your 2013 highlight? Any resolutions for 2014?
Aww I love it! I’m totally going to go home and do a 2013 highlights post bc all the cool kids (like you) are doing it.
Also, we should have more food parties. That is all.
P.S. that salted coconut almond bark was the best thing IN LIFE
DOOO IT. It’s fun to look back on the year!
Yes to more food parties – we still need our brunch one!
And the salted coconut almond bark is the best for sure.
